TISSNET 2022 Notification - Complete details

TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) has released the TISSNET 2021 notification on 17th December 2021. The TISSNET exam is conducted once every year for admission into the M.A. programs offered by TISS Mumbai and its other campuses. The M.A. in HRM program offered by TISS Mumbai is widely recognised and is preferred by MBA aspirants.

TISSNET 2022 Notification 

TISSNET notification was released on 17th December 2021. The Major update is that the TISSMAT exam has been removed. Also the there will be no sectional cutoffs for English proficiency & Mathematics and Logical reasoning sections of the TISSNET Exam paper. The GA section will have a sectional cut-off of 35% (14 marks) for Gen, EWS, KM, and AF categories and 30% (12 marks) for OBC (NC) and PWD categories. There will not be any Sectional Cut off for SC/ST category.

TISSNET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for appearing in TISSNET 2022 exam has been given below:

Academic Qualification

  • The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognised university
  • Candidates who will complete their final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent by Oct 2022, can also apply
  • Candidates pursuing a 3-year bachelor's degree should have passed all the 4 semesters at the time of filling TISSNET application form whereas those pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree must have cleared all the subjects up to the sixth semester
  • Shortlisted candidates should produce original certificates and mark sheets on the date of the personal interview. Those who are in the final year of the degree programme are required to produce the mark sheets of all previous semesters

Age Limit

  • There is no defined age limit for appearing in TISSNET 2022 exam.

Work Experience

Candidates applying for Master of Arts in (Organisation Development, Change, and Leadership) should have at least 2-year work experience in any field (after graduation)

*There will be no sectional cutoffs for English proficiency & Mathematics and Logical reasoning sections of the TISSNET Exam paper. There will not be any Sectional Cut off for SC/ST category 

*Sectional cut-off for General Awareness (GA) is applied for qualifying the TISS-NET. Candidate not scoring minimum cut-off mark for the General Awareness as above will not be qualified for TISS NET irrespective of the aggregate score

The total time duration to complete the exam is 1 hour 40 minutes.

TISSNET Exam Application Process

Steps to apply for TISSNET 2022 are as follows : 

Step 1: Go to tiss.edu, the official TISSNET website.

Step 2: To register, first click on the "Click here to register" option.

Step 3: Provide a legitimate and active email address to which the candidates will receive the password that they will use to log in.

Step 4: Login and complete the TISSNET application form, including your contact, personal, and academic information, before clicking the ‘Submit' button.

Step 5: Pay the application cost via a debit card, UPI, credit card, or Netbanking account.

Step 6: The TISSNET application cost varies depending on the number of courses a candidate selects.

(Note: Aspirants can pay the application fee in cash at any State Bank of India branch by depositing a bank challan (receipt). To complete the registration procedure, candidates must upload the SBI bank challan and a scanned copy of the TISSNET Application Form to the TISS student portal.

Is TISS affiliated with any University?

TISS is a “Deemed to be University” established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.

How many times can one appear for the TISSNET exam? +

A candidate can appear as many times as he/she wishes to.

Is there any minimum qualifying marks required for the TISSNET exam? +

Yes, minimum-qualifying marks for written test is 35 per cent (for SC/ST) and 45 per cent (for others). However, scoring mere qualifying marks in the written test does not guarantee a seat for a programme.

In which format, questions are asked in TISSNET exam? +

In TISSNET exam, questions are asked in MCQ format.

How can the application form of TISSNET MBA 2023 be finally submitted if opted for offline payment? +
